126 pages. Engineered rubber products (ERP) primarily refer to products that use natural and synthetic rubber as substrates, tailored to the needs of various technologies, and are widely used in major construction projects. The main objectives of this study are to examine the market for ERP in North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, and Egypt) and identify opportunities for Malaysian companies to increase their exports to these markets. The sectors covered in this study include construction, infrastructure, and marine industries. With the growing number of construction and infrastructure projects in North Africa, the demand for ERP is expected to rise in the coming years. The focus products of this study are dock fenders, structural bearings, expansion joints, and rail pads. Dock fenders are designed to absorb the kinetic energy of marine vessels during docking. Structural bearings support vertical loads while accommodating rotational movements and horizontal displacements in buildings, bridges, and other civil engineering structures. Expansion joints allow controlled movement in structures, while rail pads, made from natural rubber, are used to cushion and attach concrete rail sections.
