Seminar on Handling and Managing Safety Compliance during Pandemic Outbreak in the Workplace was held on 4 May 2021 via Microsoft Teams. This paper aimed to teach participant on how to plan for pandemic-specific impacts to organization as well as how to use that information to build a business continuity plan (BCP) that capable of handling any type of major business disruption. Highlighted in this course were administrative tools and other resources available to support the planning process.
The speaker also discussed about the potential business disruptions arising from a communicable disease, prevalent over a region, country or the world, that could be included in a Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessment. In addition, a summary of ISO 45001 and ISO 22301 management systems were provided for business continuity and mitigating business impacts such as pandemic.
