The paper was presented by Ms Vimala Murugan, Director of Sectoral Policy Division, Ministry of International Trade and Industry at Specialised Market Briefing on Embracing the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Towards Optimization of Automation and Technology in the Rubber Products Industry on 29 July 2020 . The speaker talked about the vision, national goals, shift factors and the enablers of Industry4WRD: National Policy on Industry 4.0 launched by the Malaysian Government. She also explained the importance of Industry 4.0 adoption for business survival, recovery & diversification, commitment of top management to adopt Industry 4.0, and assistance offered by MITI under Industry4WRD Programmes.
